The largest gold-mining district in California, the famous Mother Lode, runs directly through Amador County. Amador was a significant gold mining region during the early California Gold Rush. Sadly by the early 1900s, many of the gold deposits in Amador were empty, forcing miners to more creative methods of finding gold, even extracting gold from solid rock. When the miners of Amador county faced tough times, they didn’t give up- they pushed harder for things they cared about most. The Amador ring was designed for the dedicated individuals that value loyalty above all else- the people that believe “till death do us part” is more than a figure of speech.
